Services

Our building is a contemporary space offering natural light and excellent acoustics. The Sanctuary, with moveable chairs, is highly adaptable to many different events including baptisms, weddings and other social gatherings. The adjacent kitchen is suitable for extensive food preparation.

We are equipped with tables for sit down meals of up to 10 per table, and our theatre-style seating capacity is 220. We also offer two attractive meeting rooms with a capacity of 15-25 on our main floor. As well we have a newly renovated lower level space including a main hall, a soundproof music room, additional meeting space, and a fully equipped commercial kitchen.

Rent our facilities today! We offer a spacious, comfortable and complete hall for meetings, recitals, weddings or other venue.

Trinity United Church Sanctuary - Rental Information:

The main floor of our church is where the large church sanctuary is located. Adjacent is a large kitchen where meals can be prepared and easily served.

All events on the main floor of the church (listed above) are subject to a caretaker's fee of $10 per hour including set up prior to the event and clean up following.

Trinity United Church Lower Level - Rental Information:

The church's lower level has traditionally been used by church groups, rehearsals, Scouts (Cubs and Beavers) as well as other private functions. The main features in the lower level include:

St. James Community Square - Rental Information:

Trinity United's roots lie within what was originally St. James United Church, now called St. James Community Square. Since 1994, when Trinity United moved to its present location, the St. James Community Square Society has been leading and operating the site. They are a registered non-profit and charitable organization dedicated to providing affordable space to the community for educational, cultural, recreational and social activities.

St. James Community Square has a variety of multi-purpose rooms that are available for rental on an hourly or daily basis. There are also several spaces that are rented out as dedicated office space to non-profit groups.

St. James Hall: This is the sanctuary area of the former church. Over 4,000 square feet, including foyer and balcony, St. James Hall has a high ceiling panelled in wood, wooden beams and traditional fixtures. The stage area is 22 x 23 feet. An upright piano is available. The sanctuary is suitable for:

Meetings
Conferences
Ceremonies

Multi-Purpose Rooms: Three multi-purpose rooms on the lower floor offer 1,500, 700 and 600 square feet suitable for:

Meetings
Exercise and movement activities
Classes
Community events

Kitchen: Located on the lower floor, this 500-square-foot kitchen is available for events being held in the building and is also suitable for caterers needing food preparation space.

Accessibility: St. James Community Square is partially wheelchair accessible. St. James Hall and the multi-purpose rooms and offices on the lower floor can be accessed via the wheelchair ramp at the corner of 10th and Trutch. Please call ahead to make arrangements. St. James Day Care and the gymnasium are not fully wheelchair accessible at this time.

Parking: Some parking is available behind the building; additional parking can be found on the street as well as pay parking available in the evenings behind the National Bank of Greece (off Trutch St. between Broadway and 10th Ave.)
